Japanese GT 2011

Nobuteru Taniguchi and Taku Bamba signed off the Autobacs Super GT Series GT300 season with a pair of victories at the Fuji Speedway, Japan on 12-13 November 2011.

Despite qualifying in 12th position with a fastest time of 1:57.234, Bamba, in his YOKOHAMA equipped BMW Z4 GT3, made a stunning comeback in the second race after Taniguchi had triumphed in the first.

Following an extraordinary start in the All Star Series event, Bamba’s victory was never in any real doubt, despite early pressure from Masami Kageyama in his Porsche. To add to the success of the pairing, five positions in the top eight were secured by drivers using YOKOHAMA tyres.
