The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has announced that, as an official partner of BMW M
Motorsport, it will supply its ADVAN racing tyres for the BMW M3 Touring 24H. Engineered to
deliver outstanding grip and control under extreme racing conditions, ADVAN tyres will play a
key role in supporting the car’s performance throughout the season.
The car, specially developed by BMW M Motorsport, will compete in the SPX class at this
year’s ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring, as well as in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie
(NLS).
The BMW M3 Touring 24H is a car created for fans at the demanding Nürburgring, with whom
BMW M Motorsport shares a very special relationship. Following the 2022 launch of the BMW
M3 Touring, BMW M Motorsport began considering the development of a racing version. The
idea became concrete after an April Fools’ post in 2025, showcasing a fictional M3 Touring GT
race car, went viral and generated massive fan engagement. Encouraged by this response, the
project was approved in summer 2025, and within just eight months the BMW M3 Touring 24H
was built.
The car is based on the same technical platform as the BMW M4 GT3 EVO but features
bodywork derived from the BMW M3 Touring. Compared to its GT3 counterpart, it is 200 mm
longer (including the rear wing) and 32 mm taller, while maintaining identical technical
specifications.
The SPX class is reserved for special high-performance experimental vehicles or cars with
unique modifications that do not fit into other categories, such as SP9, which includes
production-based cars compliant with FIA GT3 regulations. The SPX class plays a key role in
developing and validating new technologies and concept vehicles.
In this highly demanding environment, Yokohama’s ADVAN tyres will help maximize
performance, reliability, and consistency over long distances.
This year, Yokohama will supply ADVAN tyres to two BMW M Motorsport entries: the BMW M4
GT3 EVO in the SP9 class and the BMW M3 Touring 24H in the SPX class.
